Fixtures Updates | BUCS 18/19 Week Five

We’ll continually update this article as any information comes in relating to BUCS Week Five fixtures.

A few notable amendments to the originally published schedule this week:

Edge Hill vs Liverpool kick off delayed to 1530

The 2A North showdown between the Edge Hill Vikings and Liverpool Raptors has been pushed back to a 1530 kick off due to a last minute change of venue.

Lancaster vs Aberystwyth Postponed

We received word late last night that the 2A North matchup between the Lancaster Bombers and Tarannau Aberystwyth has been postponed due to the weather.

Bradford vs Bangor postponed

2A North - the Bradford Bears hosting the Bangor MudDogs has been postponed until Rain Week, 20 January 2019.

Chichester vs Sussex Postponed

The 2ASouth’s Chichester Spitfires vs Greenwich Mariners has been postponed due to ‘unsuitable ground and weather conditions’.

Cardiff vs Exeter Postponed

The 1A South West game of Cardiff Cobras hosting the Exeter Demons has been postponed due to heavy rain, leaving the pitch waterlogged.

Napier vs Newcastle Postponed Due To Weather

Edinburgh Napier Knights vs Newcastle Raiders has been postponed due to heavy rain leading to a waterlogged pitch.

The Knights shared with DblCoverage.com:

“Unfortunately this Sunday’s game has fallen victim to the weather. We have spent the day investigating alternative options (including playing at Peffermill or travelling to Newcastle) but to no effect.

The Knights will now hope for better weather and next host Northumbria on the 9th of December at Sighthill Park.”

Redhawks vs Lancers shifted to the New Year

The Solent Redhawks vs Oxford Lancers fixture, originally scheduled for this weekend, has been moved to Rain Week - 20 January 2019.

Early Kick off for Sabres/Rams to allow BAFRA double dip with Warriors/Fury

The Sheffield Sabres 1A Yorks/Lancs showdown against the UCLan Rams will have an early start, kicking off at  11:30 KO. This is to allow the BAFRA crew to also cover the Sheffield Hallam Warriors vs LJMU Fury fixture, in turn pushed back to a 1500 kick-off to allow the same BAFRA crew to cover both games at two different venues!

Saturday fixtures for Week Five:
