Charger and GB Lion Gaby Knops Signs With WNFC’s Seattle Majestics

As shared by Gridiron Beauties, an amazing social media platform plugging all the amazing things going on in the Women’s game, it has been announced that Leeds Chargers and GB Lions standout Gaby Knops has been signed by the Women’s National Football Conference (WNFC) programme, the Seattle Majestics!

Having been a standout performer in the British women’s game pretty much since its inception, Knops has earned the opportunity to show off her skills stateside - continuing a course she’s set to be at the leading edge of American Football’s progress in the UK.

A standout performer at Linebacker and Fullback for both the Leeds Carnegie Chargers and GB Lions, Knops took had her first spell playing football abroad in the summer of 2017, playing for the Finnish Womens Maple League’s Division 1 side, the Jyväskylä Jaguars.

Turning heads wherever she balled out, it didn’t take long for the newly established WNFC to come knocking - the groundbreaking sports organisation with the goal to advance and develop professional women’s football in the US will kick off its 2019 season with fourteen teams spread across the US!

The Seattle Majestics themselves are a well-established side, that have signed up to the WNFC ahead of its debut season. In their 15 year history the programme boasts 11 Division Titles and could well come into the new league among the favourites to contend for the inaugural title.
