North East Academy and Northumberland Vikings Seeking to Add To Coaching Staff Ahead of 2019 Campaigns

Following a year of excellent growth in 2018, the North East Academy of American Football are looking to expand their coaching setup for 2019.

The Northumberland Vikings (adult contact) team are looking to build on their successful season in 2018 where they won the NFC North I and narrowly missed out on promotion.
The team will be training Thursday evenings and Sundays from February 2019 ahead of their 2019 campaign which begins on April 14th.

The North East Giants Youth & Junior teams (contact) strengthened throughout 2018 ahead of entering the league setup this coming season and now due to take to the field this summer.
They will be training Saturday mornings from February 2019.

The goal of the Academy is to hire coaches that are willing to develop the programmes, assist players in reaching their potential and grow the sport within the North East.

  • Interested candidates should be dedicated, committed and passionate about the sport.
  • The Academy are looking for long term additions to all areas of the coaching setup, from potential coordinators, positional coaches, through to coaching assistants.
  • Coaching experience is preferred but not essential depending on the role, however if applicants don’t hold a Level 1 coaching qualification and wish to assist, they should be willing to complete this as soon as possible.

Successful applicants will be involved as soon as possible, so early contact is encouraged.

If you are interested in coaching at adult level, enquiries should be directed to Head Coach Kevin O’Reagan at [email protected].

If you are interested in coaching at junior or youth level, enquiries should be directed to Head Coach Ben Johnson at [email protected]
