Lions’ Matta Signs with Boston Renegades
The Birmingham Lions Women’s American Football Team have shared that Birmingham and GB Lions stand out offensive playmaker Ruth Matta will travel across the pond later this year to play for the four-time US Women’s National Champions, the Boston Renegades!
The Lions are currently in the midst of a tough Sapphire Series, where they’re seeking their sixth straight National Championship, but suffered their first loss since 2014 to the London Warriors just prior to the festive break.
Luckily for them, Matta is not set to head stateside until the conclusion of the 2018/19 series, so the diminutive playmaker can continue to cause havoc with her exceptional pace and ability to turn on a dime!
