Results | Sapphire 18/19 Week Two

Some disappointing news across all four conferences, as the Pirates and Portsmouth were unable to field rosters in the top tier, while in Division Two the Valkyries found themselves shorthanded and unable to play their second game, while a long injury delay meant the Cheshire Bears were forced to forfeit in a closely contested game against the Birmingham B team, else miss their coach home!

However, there was still more than enough awesome balling to go around, as the Edinburgh Wolves kept their undefeated streak alive in the D1North, and of course there was the headline scoreline of the series so far as the London Warriors edged out the Birmingham Lions in a shootout showdown!

It’s the first domestic loss for the Lions in around six years, and only their second ever, and certainly shakes things up in the 18/19 Sapphire Series going forwards!

We’re hoping to have full match reports from across the Series later this week, eyes peeled!
